Hello I'm Chris. In this video you're going to see Yuri see Yuri take a mock driving test. Meet Yuri. He's had 33 hours of driving lessons and feels confident enough to drive on his own. He's got a driving test booked for in two weeks and wants to know if he's ready. If he fails this mock test then he will know exactly what he needs to improve on and if he passes then it will give him a great confidence boost. You're allowed up to fifteen driving faults during the test, often called minor faults. More than that or a serious or dangerous fault would be a test fail. If you persistently keep getting the same driving fault then it will turn into a serious fault and no more faults will be recorded in that category.
On this test, you're going to see Yuri do the parallel parking manoeuvre. A section of independent driving following a diagram and various road and traffic conditions. Before you start the car, the examiner will say… Yuri has already completed the eyesight test and answered the show me, tell me questions successfully, so let's catch up with him now as he's about to start. Drive on when you're ready. Take the next road on the left please. Go forward? Yes please. Take the next road on the left please. It's just coming up. Stop on the left in a safe place please. Move off when you're ready. At the end of the road turn left please.
At the traffic lights turn right please. At the roundabout turn left please. At the roundabout turn right please. Take the next road on the left please. Stop on the left in a safe place please. Move off when you're ready. Stop on the left in a safe place. You can ignore the drive ways just for now. OK, the reverse parking exercise. I'd like you to drive forward alongside this car and reverse back in within the space of two car lengths so you end up reasonably close to the kerb and parallel to it. You can ignore the drive way just for now. OK, when you're ready. Drive on when you're ready please. At the end of the road turn right please. At the end of the road turn left please.
Take the next road on the right please. It's just where the silver car is coming from. Stop on the left in a safe place please. OK, I'd like you to drive some distance independently now. Here are some directions for you to follow. You are here where this arrow is. At the end of this road at traffic lights turn left.
You will then drive for some distance until you get to a crossroads that's controlled by traffic lights. At these traffic lights turn left. And when you get to a roundabout turn left and it will be the second exit. So, at the end of this road at traffic lights turn left. At a crossroads that's controlled by traffic lights turn left. And at the roundabout, turn left, second exit. OK? OK.
Drive on when you're ready. That's the end of the independent driving. I'll direct you from here. Stop on the left in a safe place please. Move off when you're ready. At the roundabout follow the road ahead please. At the roundabout turn right please. Go forward? Yes please. At the roundabout turn left first exit please. Take the next road on the right please. Take the next road on the left please. Before the silver van? Yes it is. Stop on the left in a safe place please. You can ignore the drive way for now. OK, you can switch off now. Yuri did well to only get five driving faults. But, unfortunately he also got two serious faults, resulting a fail. Let's have a look back at his serious faults and what he should have done differently.
Yuri checked all around before going but started moving off despite a car approaching behind. He should have waited for the car to pass before moving at all. The second serious fault happened when he was emerging left onto a busy road. But he didn't judge the speed of the car approaching from his right correctly and caused it to slow down. He should have waited at the give-way line until it was safe. Although Yuri failed this mock test, he took the result positively worked hard on improving his driving and went on to pass his driving test two weeks later, first time. Congratulations Yuri and thanks a lot for being brave enough to be filmed. And appreciate you watching. Hope it's helped. If it has then please subscribe to our channel as it really helps us to make more. As usual, keep safe on the road and if you've got your driving test coming up soon then good luck! See you on the next video!.
