Cracking ONLINE ASSESSMENT Rounds | Complete Plan for Online Rounds

Hi everyone, I am Fraz and I am a Software Developer at Curefit. So many of were tensed about their online rounds but there is a good news for you. So those who are already following our preparation strategy, their 70% of the preparation for the online rounds is already done. And for the rest of the preparation, we will be the first decoding the online round – what are the sections in it, what are the different parts of it and accordingly, I will give you the resources in this video so that you can go through them and prepare for your interviews.

First of all, you should know, where these online rounds are conducted? There are several platforms like Hackerrank, Hackerearth, Mettl and many more, where online rounds are conducted. Now you will come to know about the significance of these things. I have divided these into three categories, there are basically three categories and the majority of the companies ask questions from these categories only The companies falling under the first category will ask you the questions related to coding only. Nothing else, only coding questions will be asked – atmost two or three Coding questions. then there are some companies, which ask Coding questions plus Computer Fundamentals. They will give you MCQs based on Computer Fundamental topics such as Object Oriented Programming, DBMS, etc. Then there are other companies which also ask Aptitude questions also from CS Fundamentals and Coding questions.

Now, in the preparation plan which I have provided to you people, I have completed Apti, I have told you from where you have to do the practice for Apti. So we are done with Apti and we need not to worry about it. If you have not done it, I will provide you the link below in the description box, You can go and check it out. Then CS Fundamentals – for this also, I have given a complete list of different subjects, which questions are important, which topics are necessary and from where we have to study these topics.

So that part is also done. CS Fundamentals done, Apti done. So now we are left with coding – In coding, there are majorly two sections – One is DSA, in which you are asked about some basic Data Structures and Algorithms questions – like Trees, Linked Lists, Stacks, Queues. Then there is Competitive Programming. For DSA, I have already provided you DSA sheet with 250 questions, I hope you people would have done that. Many of you have already completed that sheet. If you have done that sheet, then it is sufficient. If you haven’t, then they can find the link in a description. You can check it out. Then there is Competitive Programming – Now, from where to do the preparation for Competitive Programming and how to do it. Let’s discuss about it now, I will tell you many good resouces, from where you can do it. Let us go and check that out – So now I am going to tell you two such resources from where you can do your preparation up to an optimum level. But I would advice that before doing that, firstly , at-least complete 250 questions of DSA that I have provided to you.

This is because those questions will be definitely helpful to you in your Online rounds and in your Technical rounds. So, it is my advice, just complete those questions and then you can move forward towards Competitive Programming. Now before moving further in the video, let’s talk about Unacademy. There are four batches launching on 20th and 21st of July. And out of these, there could be some batches which could help you with your placements. First batch is Bramhastra and it is exlusive 5 months learning track for both On-campus and Off-Campus Placements. So next batch is Eklavya, it is a complete Java course and it is of 7 months. It will cover basics of Java. It will cover concepts of Recursion, Dynamic Programming and Graph Algorithms. Then finally, we have 6 weeks master course on advanced programming topics such as Dynamic Programming, Segment Tress and Graph and many other topics which are relevant for interview All information regarding these courses have been given in the description And if you take any of these courses, then you can use my referral code FRAZ to get 10 percent discount on these course. Ok, so now let’s see our first resource from where we can start our preparation for Competitive Programming So this is A2OJ, where you will get many ladders.

You will have to go to the ladders. You will get ladders according to the rating and problems too. There are A, B, C and D ladders for Div 2. You will find get 100 questions from each ladder. These are basically the questions from Codeforces. You have to try 40-50 questions. It will not take so much time because their difficulty level is not too high. These are easy questions and you will be able to solve them easily. Then we will go to ladder B, from this ladder also, solve at-least 40-50 questions.

See the question is opening in Codeforces. Similarly for ladder C also, solve 40-50 questions, depends on the time you have. Now let us say, you have selected one question, and after trying it, you are not able to solve this question, then what you can do is you can go to the tutorial section. After going through the tutorials, you will be able to understand the intuition behind the question.

Sometimes, hints are also provided for these. You can get the hint and try solving it if it still doesn’t work, then you can go through its solution. Also, I have something else for you people. So basically this is a drive maintained by the students of IIT. This is the list of all the questions asked by the companies in their online rounds when they visit these IIT’s. Here you will be provided with the links too.
If not the links, then screenshots will be provided for the questions. Plus point is that you will also get solution links along with it. There are 2 drives in total, one is from 2018-2019 and other one from 2019-2020. You can definitely check it out to get the idea about the types of the questions asked in interviews and from which platform the questions are picked. So, I think now you people will be able to prepare properly. If you have any doubt, you can mention it in the comment box and I will most probably reply to that comment.
